The hol­i­day sea­son is here at last. The office is com­pletely cov­ered in Christ­mas dcor that stream in reds and greens. The tree is dec­o­rated with orna­ments and the var­ied arrange­ment of Christ­mas beads are strung all over the place. What I love most about the hol­i­days are the dec­o­ra­tions. The glit­tery tin­sel that hangs from the tremen­dous tree only reminds me of the fun I had each hol­i­day sea­son as I grew up. I remem­ber my sis­ter and her art sup­ply kit, each day she would wake up to make bead bracelets for every­one in the fam­ily. I remem­ber one week she made like a hun­dred bead bracelets.

I never real­ized how much joy would come from being a par­ent. Watch­ing my daugh­ter grow up though, has made this more appar­ent to me. She has this won­der­ful abil­ity to always bring a smile to my face and never ceases to amaze me. Recently my daugh­ter and her best friend from next door have been mak­ing jew­elry out of dried noo­dles, painted many dif­fer­ent col­ors. I thought their sym­bols of friend­ship were sweet, but they are com­ing to the matu­rity level where the desire for nicer things is more preva­lent. This hol­i­day sea­son I thought I would search for a more styl­ish acces­sory they would be happy use, show off and share.
